Well we can't ignore it............ Unfortunately both teams success means we meet each other again in another cup, if it goes the same as all the previous meetings it will be a very close game. Second team are at Home so they will have to put up and take down the goals but the First team will have to change colours and give Finchy £45 for the honour of playing up the rec (as long as he doesn't forget to ask this week) The only good thing to come out of this game will be that we will definitely have a team through to the next round.

Thanks for this bel, the lads are feeling relaxed and looking forward to it. Worth mentioning that we also get the changing room too (said before anyone thought differently...ha ha).
I'm hoping weighty plays in this game, I'm looking forward to dominating him in a game rather than doing it in training - it gets a bore. (I've heard he was with the vets last week after his performance for the ressies the other week - is that true!!!)

Do you mean when I came on when you was losing 1-0 and steady the ship and we got a 1-1 draw? I think you'd do well to remember Buzz my old son,I came on for YOU as you got rinsed by their right midfielder and in what can only be described as a pathetic attempt to catch him ended up injuring yourself!! See you Sunday.

My first post for a while but I didn't want to leave you hanging to long El Bel, not with the weekends festivities fast approaching.
Oh before I forget I can't open the attachment from Ian Kerwood so could you let me know who the Referee is for Sunday please so I can confirm the fixture with him (add that to my list as well so I can moan to you about that at the weekend also).
The £45 match fee will be greatly appreciated, particularly by our club Chairman who rumour has it is using it to bump up his holiday coffers, it is full to bursting by all accounts. Keep that between us though as we don't want him finding out.
I feel there is some confusion from last week though, as it wasn't that I forgot to ask, I didn't have time. Chomp chomp as some would say. In the Reserves we don't have the luxury of one person to collect the subs, another to collect the valuables, another to take the pen lid off, another to use that pen to fill the team sheet out, another to do the water bottles, another to carry them over to the sidelines, another to lay the kit out, another to put the above mentioned pen lid back on. I can't carry on, I'm gonna have to stop there as all this bleeting is not good for my health, plus I am starting to sound like Victor Meldrew.
No need to give me the £45 match fee though as with both teams at the same ground and that meaning so many committee members/clubmen in the same place at one time, I won't have to lift a finger and can just concentrate on playing (if selected), apart from putting the goals up and down that is!!!
Talking about the match day Do's and Don't's El Bel, as you rightly say the reserves are at home so it is for us to do the goals, but as Buzz mentioned, you sneakily forgot to say that the Reserves would have the slightly larger/under floor heated home team dressing room. I take it this just goes without saying though.
I know Buzz mentioned about looking forward to it but me for one is not, as I hate these games. Personally I never enjoy anything about them and the sooner it is over and done with and we can all crack on with the rest of our seasons the better.

Me to Fabio,I hate these games and I'll be a lot happier when the game is done and dusted. I see you remembered all the little extras the 1st team get (in some people's view) from when you were enjoying them for all those years Fabs.

Don't apologise fabio moaning is the way forward in life!! And I could probably think of a few more things to add to the list! But won't get into that now!!
These games are a good chance to gauge where we are in comparison with the first team and a chance for us to see whether all the hype is justified or not!! There's no getting away from the fact that we're massive underdogs but upsets do happen!!

Absolutely spot on Wrighty, I do miss all those little perks. Do they still have someone to tie everyones laces?? Also does the Legend that is the Nodster still provide the little soaping down in the showers afterwards?? Closest thing we get to a perk in the Reserves is either seeing Hoddle naked or seing the Kaiser's Ballfro.
As you rightly say Hoddle we are MASSIVE underdogs and have a monumental task in front of us, but who knows. My 17 years with the club and no reserve team has ever beaten the first team, that shows how big the challenge in front of us is. Upsets can happen though everyone knows that so we'll have a go and see where it takes us.

UTR Only a few weeks ago everyone was really enjoying playing for the reserves and nobody was moaning so what has changed in such a short space of time?? The only thing that i can see different is Dan hasn't been there so he must be good at multi tasking................................ And i specifically give you FREE PENS without tops to save you time......

He's like a woman is our Lombardo the way he multi tasks.
Absolutely right about the pens El Bel, the click top is the way forward.
We just like moaning I think El Bel, being around Hoddle and Oddjob Kaiser too much has that impact.

I won't be cheering for either team on Sunday, Just wish it could have been the final. We did come close to meeting in a final a few seasons ago so hopefully one day it will happen.
As for the game the ressies must be ultra confident as they are meeting in the cafe before the game and all having a full English. They obviously feel this is better preparation than wasting their time coming training.

Emotions will be running high for everyone I guess El Bel and as me and Wrighty touched on, it won't be a particularly enjoyable day, but as you said originally, unfortunately we can't ignore it, it's here and we all just have to crack on with it. Do you want to come for a full english then El Bel, i'm sure we can squeeze you in, as long as you promise not to report our formation of 1-9-1 back to Cliff that is.

El Bel there's nothing stopping you from coming into our changing room either before or after the game on Sunday and asking why the majority of the lads don't or can't come to training!! I'm sure the lads will be honest with you and give you the answers your after.
As for our formation fabio I think 1-9-1 is a little bit too attacking for us!
