Great performance by everyone last night! We was under a lot of pressure from the second half all through to the penalties!!!! Great buzz to win the final! Makes our season a lot better and brightens up our presentation.
Tommy showed his experience from the spot and was comfortable! Our other penalties were great! Wrighty was still cold so don't worry mate that's a good enough excuse. Played well when he came on with his 2 touches!!!
Smudgers last ditch tackle was a match winner. Eastwood and Wilson were awesome. The midfield battled harder than ever. Great link up play from the strikers in both goals!!!!
Flappy had a great game too!

We was under a lot of pressure from the second half all through to the penalties!!!! No we weren't, they only put us under a lot of pressure in the last 10-15 minutes when they got about 2000 free kicks and kept launching the ball in the box. Considering we had 10 men (we won't go into that) i thought we finished the stronger. |

Well done last night lads , full credit to all players and everyone involved at the club ! The game had everything you get in highly charged final , I think Spartans matched us in most areas , more than most teams do , but there's only one champion and that's us boys . Well I don't remember us having a shot in the second half mate. We didn't let them get too many chances at goal because of our desire to win the ball back. But they definitely had the most possession in the second half.

Well done lads, every one was quality last night. At times it seemed as if everything was against us but we showed tremendous character and got a deserved victory. My brother who has seen a lot of football in his time said it was a very entertaining game between two very good sides, worth the entrance money just for the quality of football on show and the best game of football he had seen between two local sunday sides.
Dan Houckham - 9.9/10 Jekyl and Hyde performance but when it mattered came up with quality saves and the winning pen. Never gonna get a 10 because he would never shut up.
Jack Wilson - 10/10 Arguably his best performance for the club, never put a foot wrong all night.
Danny Eastwood - 10/10 Absolute quality from start to finish.
Steve Smith - 10/10 Club legend status has been reached and exceeded, the last ditch tackle at the end summed up his performance.
Dave Burton - 10/10 A disciplined performance for the team stopping one of their main outlets. Arguably his best season for the club.
Darren Thomson - 10/10 Showed all his class and experience on the big stage, great use of the ball.
Lee Biggs - 10/10 The all action Biggsy was back to his best.
Tommy Martin - 10/10 Slightly deeper role but quality in possession and protected the back line well.
Will Roomes - 10.1/10 Nobody should have to endure what he had to take last night. Eventually people will work out what the opposition are doing and deal with it appropriately. Has matured into a quality player and showed true class with all that he had to contend with. STAR MAN
Micky Close - 10/10 Linked up well with Jack all night and they combined for a quality second goal. Put in a good shift for the team.
Jack Stone - 10/10 The silent assassin strikes again, gets better each season.
Danny Thomas - 10/10 Usual tireless performance working hard exactly when it was needed.
Luke Underdown - 10/10 Powerful forward runs one of which almost contributed to a decisive goal which would have secured victory in normal time.
Archie Avery - 10/10 Great experience for Archie which will serve him well in the future. Sat in front of the back line and gave the protection when needed.
Darren Wright - 10/10 As usual put the club before his own personal gain and is a credit to the club (except when he's moaning. Has contributed so much this season at vital times.
Cliff Carter - 10/10 Doesn't shirk making the big decisions and another trophy to add to the growing list. Sorted a few things out this week and got the reward.
Grant Spelling - 10/10 Tactical input before the game was spot on, it's the small details that can make a big difference.
Nolan Iles - 10/10 The backroom staff can make the difference and his contribution has been immense the whole season.
Micky Austin - 10/10 We should never forget how much Mick has done for the club and it's people like him that deserve a victory like last night (also done a football card £££££££££££££).
Steve Smith - 10.2/10 As usual happy to take all the crap from the opposition, and it was worth it at the end.
Everyone was a credit to the club last night, thankyou.

What a great performance last night probably the best we played all season and against a very good side, but like they always say the cream always rises to the top, so lets hope results go our way sunday and we put in another good shift. Oh and cant believe that pablo has spoken some truth for a change, even if it has taken him all season.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Nothing! So proud of everyone connected to PP. I'd also like to thank everyone who came to support us and give us that extra lift when we needed it so please pass on our gratitude to family and friends.

Good shout about the supporters, very good crowd (300+) and there were quite a few old players/club legends watching, Shanksy and Emo to name few.

Another roller coaster of a cup final. Well deserved. They've won that cup the previous 3 years so it shows what a good side they are. Everybody gave everything,the tactics were spot on and we got your reward. Another great night

Well as a senior player i dont like to have all the credit, I saved the game with what can only be describes as the best last ditch tackle ever and then to go on and score a pen would just be damn right greedy, Ill just settle with a winners medal and a picture in the paper!!
